What does the test look like?
A sentence is provided with a blank in it. Students select one word from a drop-down menu that best fits each given sentence.
- Each week we will study 10 high-frequency vocabulary words and 2-3 easily confused words, totaling 12-13 words.
- Students are expected to know the definition of each word so they are able to use it in a sentence on the test.
- Every fourth week, students are given a review list. The review list contains 10 randomly selected high-frequency words and 5 Easily Confused words from the previous three lists.
When is the test?
- Tests will be given on Thursdays.
- A Kahoot review game will be completed in class the day before the test.
- New lists are introduced in class on Fridays.
